A new opportunity has arisen for a flexible and resourceful STEAM Technician to join our team at Colyton Grammar School, playing a crucial role in supporting several departments with preparation and assistance with materials as well as some facility maintenance.
Job overview
You’ll be responsible for the preparation of a range of materials and apparatus for Design / Engineering, Art, and Computer Science lessons within teaching rooms for academic staff and students. As well as this, you’ll take pride in ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard, conforming to Health and Safety standards whilst also assisting in auditing the use of facilities and equipment and maintaining the equipment stores.
Job requirements
5 GCSEs, English and Maths at C grade or aboveKnowledge of Health and Safety legislation including COSHH regulationsKnowledge of safe working practices in relation to the handling and usage of hazardous equipment and tools
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively monitor usage and standards of equipment and facilities
Knowledge of relevant school policies and codes of safe practice within the classroom
