Job Overview
We are seeking a local temporary Freelance Chef to help us out for holidays and other cover.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with the ability to create delicious and visually appealing dishes. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen while ensuring that every dish meets our quality expectations. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in food preparation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar culinary environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.

Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 40 per week
