Garton King Appliances is one of Exeter’s oldest businesses and is the South West's specialist AGA authorised distributor. Garton King Appliances Ltd. supplies cookers, fridge/freezers, kitchen cookware, spare parts and provides servicing and repair for AGA cookers.
Garton King has been installing AGA cookers since they arrived in Britain from Scandinavia nearly 80 years ago & has been trading since 1661.
Locations – Office & Warehouse – Unit 2 Fair Oak Court, Exeter Airport, EX5 2BB. Showroom - Darts Farm near Exeter.
Job Location – Office - Unit 2 Fair Oak Court, Exeter Airport, EX5 2BB.
Hours – Full Time (5 days per week – 37.5 hours) 8.30am to 4.30pm – Monday-Friday (half hour lunch break unpaid).
Holiday – 22 days from January plus Bank Holidays plus Birthday off & paid if within working week. NB – Christmas shut down of office between Christmas & New Year applies.
Duties
- Office administration – filing, inputting data into spreadsheets, updating internal systems with customer data and appointments.
- Customer service – answering telephone calls and e-mails. Taking messages and relaying them in detail to the relevant parties and also booking in servicing and work for our engineering team.
- Updating Service Manager database with engineer job sheet details
- Credit control – contacting customers to chase invoice payments.
- General administration such as photocopying, faxing, research, taking and processing customer payments etc.
- Postage duties – printing documents and preparing for postage and also postal runs.
- Writing letters including quotes, confirmation letters etc.
- Reporting customer complaints to suppliers, chasing progress and following up with customers.
- Other administration & office duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office package – in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience in an office based environment in an administration based function.
- Good communication skills both internally and externally and both in writing and orally.
- Presentable, proactive and a strong Team player.
- Ability to deal with all aspects of administration work, however mundane and able to pick up things quickly.
- Good attention to detail with ability to check accuracy of own work.
- Flexible and willing to do whatever tasks the directors/management ask and is required of the business.

Pay: £15,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
