As a Communications Executive, you will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to support delivering our firm’s marketing and communications strategy. This role involves collaborating with the people team, external agencies, and key internal stakeholders to create and deliver marketing communications that promote our brand, reputation, and services across online and offline channels.
You will be responsible for producing engaging content for a range of audiences. This includes internal communications such as firm-wide updates, people initiatives, and Responsible Business projects, as well as external communications like social media posts, recruitment campaigns, and client-facing emails. You will also help implement and maintain a communications plan that effectively delivers strategic initiatives, success stories, and campaigns to our target audience.
To excel in this role, you will already have some experience in marketing communications, ideally within the professional services industry. You will be confident working with stakeholders at all levels, suggesting creative ideas, and understanding how to tailor internal and external messaging to resonate with our audience. Strong relationship-building and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to convey clear and concise messages that align with our firm’s values and goals.
You should be proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines. If you are an organised and creative thinker who excels at working independently and contributing to a collaborative team, this role would be perfect for you.
Responsibilities will include:
Internal communications
- Supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive internal communications plan with a focus on promoting employee engagement and participation.

Creating and distributing engaging content for our internal communication channels, including emails, newsletters, and digital screens, highlighting employee achievements, company news, and strategic priorities.

Managing our Viva Engage (Yammer) internal social media platform

Collating and distributing content for internal newsletters, such as our weekly blog.

Actively seeking and promoting success stories from within the firm and share best practices.
External communications

Producing effective content for external channels such as print, social media, email marketing, and other digital platforms, ensuring alignment with Bishop Fleming’s brand tone and values.

Planning and executing email marketing campaigns, track performance metrics, and use data to create targeted segments.

Assisting with the development and management of our CRM system

Supporting the Digital team with maintaining our websites and social media pages.

Working with the Events team to manage communications for our events, promoting initiatives to boost sign-ups.

Using multimedia formats, including video, audio, graphics, and imagery, to create dynamic communications that reflect Bishop Fleming’s values and ambitions.

Building and managing relationships with stakeholders, including agencies, fee earners, and Enablement teams, to drive engagement with our external audiences.

Collaborating with Marketing team members to ensure messaging consistency and communications are aligned with business goals.
About you
To be considered for the role, you will have:

A relevant Communication / Marketing / Public Relations degree, CIM Diploma or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in a communications role, preferably in a professional services firm.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building relationships and conveying clear, concise messages.

Familiarity with a CRM system preferably HubSpot or similar. As well as other communication channels and tools (e.g. Drupal, Viva Engage etc.)

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Strong time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Effective relationship-building experience – can interact with individuals at all levels across the business

The ability to convert technical content into compelling narratives for internal and external purposes.

Experience managing multiple priorities with diplomacy and discretion.

Strong analytical skills with a track record in optimising communication performance.
