Art Teacher (Self employed/Freelance)

Aurora Shine Online are passionate about teaching children art. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring and instructing students in various art forms, fostering their creativity, and helping them develop their artistic skills.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, confident and friendly Art Teacher with some background of working with children and talented in Art! Most Art Assistants can progress into an Art Teacher once confident and furfilled half a term shadowing myself.
As an Art Teacher, your duties will include:
- Teaching students in afterschool classes with their work
- Drawing step by step in our unique style
- Using a variety of different techniques and mediums for each project
- Setting up the class and clearing away at the end of each session
- Setting up paints and materials for the students
- Guiding and encouraging students with their work
- Managing class discipline and completion of work
- Talking to parents and managing the class registers
For the role, you will be well spoken with good communication, excellent verbal and written English skills, with a strong background in Art, possibly a practicing artist. You will be a car driver and happy to work on a self-employed basis. You will ideally have: A current DBS check, 2 forms of photo ID, 2 professional referees and a background of working with children.
Salary: Assistant: Starting at £30 a session shadowing myself (classes are appox 2 hours) If teaching your own class: £45-£50 a session (depending on class size). The hours are normally 3.00-5.00pm
