Principal Engineer - Electrical & ICA role:
• Seeking a Principal Electrical & ICA Engineer with expertise in design, safety, and standards to lead engineering projects and contribute to business success in Bristol or Exeter.
Principal Engineer - Electrical & ICA responsibilities:
• Develop cost-effective design layouts that optimise overall project costs, considering all stages from design and material procurement to construction and commissioning, while ensuring compliance with specifications and feasibility.
• Support the Proposals department by providing accurate cost estimates, constructive feedback, and actively participating in the development, monitoring, and review of departmental procedures and processes.
• Maintain comprehensive project files and records throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Maintain a personal development plan, actively participate in the supervision and development of junior staff and contribute to ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Minimise waste across all departmental activities and ensure designs incorporate environmental considerations.
• Prioritise health and safety in all design decisions.
Principal Engineer - Electrical & ICA requirements:
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex process plant systems within the water industry.
• In-depth knowledge of motor control centre design and implementation.
• Strong foundation in the selection and specification of critical automation components.
• A strong foundation in the underlying science and engineering concepts that drive these critical systems.
• Demonstrates commitment to professional development and adherence to industry standards.
• Demonstrates foundational academic knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
• Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic plant layouts
• Valid driver's license.
