Rethink Mental Illness are hiring an experienced Team Leader to join our inspiring and friendly team across our two of our Exeter Services, East Devon Supported Living.

Team Leader opportunity – Working hours – 9-5pm – Monday to Friday

Ladysmith Road is a four bed property, staffed 24/7. Here we support people with medium to high needs, using Safety Management Plans and SMART goals to reduce risks and promote recovery. Residents receive 1:1 and shared support. Cowick Street is a five bed property. Staffed 9am-8pm (Mon-Fri) and 9am-5pm (Sat-Sun), where we provide low-level support, focusing on recovery and helping residents to move towards independence.

JOIN THE TEAM!

As Housing Team Leader, you will lead and support the team to deliver a responsive and customer orientated housing and floating support services, supporting the Service Manager with effective management of our housing services.

As a Team Leader you will:

Allocate and monitor team work to meet service goals and priorities.
Ensure staffing meets service outcome requirements.
Lead by example, offering guidance on best practices.
Support team development through coaching, supervision, and budget-conscious training.
Manage recruitment and induction of staff and volunteers.
Maintain clear communication on organisational updates and service developments.
Drive quality improvements and seek opportunities for innovation.
Ensure all reporting and administrative tasks are completed accurately.
Conduct tenant inductions, clarifying rights and responsibilities.
Coordinate with agencies and oversee tenant support plans.
Manage property issues, including damage recovery and repairs.
Ensure compliance with management agreements and leases.
Address anti-social behaviour and coordinate proactive responses.
Conduct health and safety inspections and oversee property maintenance.

Essential skills and experience required:

Housing qualification or relevant experience.
Background in housing, social services, or supported housing.
Knowledge of housing benefits, management, legislation, and letting procedures.
Skilled in setting and evaluating support goals.
Risk assessment and management experience.
Understanding of housing law and best practices.
Strong motivator with effective communication skills.
Familiarity with mental health housing needs.
Proficient in report writing and IT (Microsoft Office).
