About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be an essential part of the classroom team, supporting both teachers and students. Your role will involve providing personalised assistance, ensuring all children feel encouraged and equipped to overcome challenges. Whether supporting lessons, managing activities, or offering one-on-one guidance, your contribution will have a lasting impact on the students you work with.

Your Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:

• Provide tailored support to students with varying learning needs, both in and outside the classroom.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Help manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Offer personal care and emotional support to students, ensuring their well-being.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies.
• Encourage independence and confidence in students, helping them achieve their goals.

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience working with children or young people is essential (this doesn’t need to be within an educational setting).
• A genuine passion for supporting young learners and helping them succeed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Patience, flexibility, and a caring approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
