We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveying Trainee to join our Wales and the West team based out of our office in Exeter. Quantity Surveyors play a vital role in ensuring that construction projects are delivered on time and within budget, while also providing value for money. Throughout the project lifecycle, Quantity Surveyors monitor and control costs. They identify and address potential cost overruns, track changes to the project scope, and ensure that the project remains financially viable. This is a key role in ensuring we deliver a profitable project within our customer’s budget.
As part of our trainee programme, you will mainly focus on quantity surveying but will also complete placements within other departments in our business including site management, design management and other areas of pre-construction to give you exposure of the construction process from start to finish. This provides you with broad construction experience and will help support you with your career in the future. You will get experience of delivering projects across multiple sectors and will work in a hybrid way from our office in Cardiff and sites across the South Wales.
We are open to school leavers with A' levels/T levels or an equivalent qualification or a graduate with passion to start a career in construction. Our programme is 2 to 4 years in duration depending upon your entry point and will give you the valuable work experience that will enable you to progress into an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role.
