We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and childcare, with a strong desire to support the development and well-being of children in a nursery setting. The Assistant will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment, fostering learning, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.

Responsibilities

Assist in the children’s mealtimes.
Support the lead educator in managing classroom dynamics and maintaining a positive atmosphere.
Engage with children, providing guidance and encouragement during play and learning activities.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for children to explore and learn.
Drive children to various activities or outings as required, ensuring their safety at all times.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with children and parents.
Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behaviour and foster positive relationships with children.
A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood education is crucial for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £8.00-£11.44 per hour
