Annual Salary:- £23,400 per annum
Full-time 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly committed person with experience in caring for horses and ponies to join the Sanctuary Care Team at Coombe Park in Totnes.
Knowledge of equine welfare, behaviour and training is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
This post is based at our education and equestrian centre. Working closely with our team of experts, you will help provide the highest standard of care, monitoring the health and behaviour of around 30 horses with a variety of health and management needs. You will be actively involved in training horses (may include riding) and supporting our educational programmes.

- Able to carry out all standard yard duties such as stable and grassland management, grooming, feeding, exercising
- Would like an interesting and rewarding role in equine welfare
- Would like to work in a professional, friendly and supportive team
- Hold a full UK driving license

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is the largest equine charity in the South West peninsula, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies in need. Based in Devon, we have 4 specialist sites, including a specialist veterinary and welfare assessment centre. We also have an active programme of educational events for horse owners and a multidisciplinary equine assisted learning team.
