Job Description – Marine Operative
TMS are looking for a full-time permanent Marine Operative to join our fast-growing Marine Civil Engineering company.
As a Marine Operative your role will be varied, requiring you to be a versatile construction worker. You will be required to work on marine-based construction sites that are predominantly based in/around coastal or inland waterways, either from the shore or aboard our vessels. You will therefore be required to work on or near water, which may include rivers, lakes, estuaries or sea and may require you to work under tidal conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Being involved in both excavation, demolition and installation activities,
· You may be required to undertake general labouring duties, such as concrete pours, piling, levelling, dredging, installation of marine structures,
· You may work on land or may be required to work on board floating vessels,
· Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times on-site, following best practices for health and safety in civil engineering environments.
What We’re Looking For:
· Experience of working in a marine construction environment would be beneficial but not essential,
· Relevant in date CSCS/CPCS card required (eg Plant Operator, Piling Operative, Slinger Signaller).
· Full clean driving licence
· A strong desire to learn within the marine industry,
· Enthusiasm, reliability, and an excellent work ethic,
· Ability to work well in a team environment and follow safety procedures,
· Willing to work away on projects around the UK.
