Up World is curated learning & community for dynamic marketers. The community they join is called Up Club.
We have a vision for what our newsletters across Up World could be. At the moment, we just send campaign emails that are functional - they update our members on what’s going on but they don’t offer any value in themselves. They are not currently a growth engine for us.
This is a brief to write our newsletters, but it’s also more than that. This is about becoming a real driving force within the community, working with our Social Media Manager on our campaign plan, working with our podcast team to integrate The Marketing Hustle. The list goes on!
The Up Club newsletter should be the voice of our members and our expertise - we want themed newsletters on hot topics, with members perspectives. We want to celebrate our members success, championing great campaigns, wins and life events. It can be a digest of the best bits that you only get access to as a member - what was discussed in Huddle Ups and members only events.
The Up World newsletter should give our database enough value that they want to forward on the email. It’s all the good stuff, just not the members magic we keep behind closed doors.
Big Up Club is our exclusive application only community for Marketing Directors and CMOs. We might have ad hoc requirements to write content for them.
How your day might look:
- Interviewing some members on quick calls

We are looking for someone with a clear creative vision for how we can build an industry leading newsletters that grow like wild fire and so engaging that our members stay in our community so they keep getting it.
We’ll measure success in unprompted feedback, changes in open rates & growth in our database.
Some examples of community newsletters that we like:

What we like:

Generalist world - examples here & here
