We have an outstanding opportunity for a Regional Marketing Manager to join our field-based team working closely with our agency team, the manufacturer, and retail network covering the Southern area of the UK. You will be a progressive, collaborative marketeer, who is eager to embrace new ways of working, the latest marketing channel innovations and has a passion for the automotive industry.
You will work with the retailer network to plan, implement and measure effective and compliant local marketing campaigns across all business areas fostering face-to-face network relationships.
Our Marketing Managers are a vital bridge between the network and our client - both of equal importance in driving forward transformation. They are highly skilled marketing consultants who understand how to influence the network on that journey. You will be the expert across multi-channels, a source of authority to consult on best practice and skilled in fostering relationships.
Our ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar field-based marketing role (client or agency-side) and be able to display strong interpersonal and organisational skills. An understanding of the automotive industry is advantageous.
This is a field-based role, covering Southern UK - ideally you will be based in this region.
The Day to Day
- You'll act as a consultant to retail dealers regarding lead generation, lead management and customer loyalty, including maximising use of their database with a clear focus on sales conversion.
- Support the network in achieving conquest brand standards, notably compliant and effective execution of experiential, digital and social activity
- Prioritise your time to support all partners whilst focusing on those dealers who require assistance in planning their marketing activity
- Work collaboratively with other RMM regions to drive a consistent regional experience across the UK and share / harness best practice.
- Develop strong relationships with dealers, agency and manufacturer colleagues through a combination of face-to-face site visits in addition to a regular cadence of online interactions
- Work with Sales and After Sales field-team colleagues to ensure relevant requirements are understood and agreed
- Continually demonstrate a full understanding of the automotive industry and specifically the changing role played by dealer networks
- Use tools to offer insight and solutions to current challenges: findings from previous consultancy work, agency generated insight, management information system reports etc
- Identify and support any new starters within the network to provide inductions to the brand and marketing support provided
- Understand business challenges and opportunities and advise dealers on marketing solutions across Retail/Fleet/After Sales/Used Car/Motability/Accessories
Requirements
Who will you be?
- You'll have significant experience in a similar field-based marketing role (client or agency-side) and be able to display strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- You'll be dynamic and inspire confidence in the dealer network and senior management, with in depth channel knowledge, you'll be a team player and an expert in your field
- Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of the full marketing mix, notably digital and social platforms
- An understanding of data, reporting (strong excel ability) and how to measure marketing effectiveness
- To be adept at building and maintaining strong client and colleague relationships that engender trust and add value
- Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- A problem solver with excellent people management skills
- A sense of gravitas and a sensitivity to the politics surrounding dealer and manufacturer issues
- An understanding of the automotive industry is advantageous.
