More detail about the role: The Service Administrator will be responsible for overseeing consultant and/or administrative tasks. This is a non-clinical role with no direct involvement in kidney or dialysis care. The main responsibilities include ensuring patients are scheduled for treatment in accordance with the NHS constitution and referral to treatment standards.
The role is quite busy and involves using the trust's IT program EPIC, a patient management system. The administrator will need to communicate with consultants, nurses, and patients. Good typing skills, email usage, proofreading, and communication abilities are essential. Support will be provided until proficiency is attained in the role.

Your role will be to ensure patients are booked for treatment in line with the NHS constitution and referral to treatment standards. It is a busy role using the trust's IT program EPIC, which is a patient management system. You will liaise with consultants, nurses, and patients.
A good standard of typing, using emails, proof reading and communication are essential. We will support you every step of the way until you are proficient in the role. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proven experience in dealing with Patients on the telephone. You will be flexible and adaptable with excellent IT skills.
You will need to enjoy the challenge of working as part of a busy team yet have the ability to use your own initiative to meet the changing needs of the department and support other members of the admin team as needed.
