A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Pharmacist to join a leading local GP practice team as a PCN Clinical Pharmacist.
Based a short way from Plymouth, you’ll join a well-established practice that serves both more built-up and rural areas. As part of a strong MDT (including doctors, nurses, paramedics, pharmacy and support staff), you’ll support excellent primary care such as by:
- Conducting medication review clinics,
- Advising on and resolving queries regarding medicines and LTC management,
- Assisting with the resolution of prescribing-related issues,
- Supporting the treatment of acute illnesses, and
- Participating in medicines optimisation and service improvement activities.
As this will encompass travel between two surgeries, you will need a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for this role.
This is a permanent PCN Clinical Pharmacist position, offering a high level of patient interaction in a positive and collaborative environment across four days.
Salary commensurate with experience, qualifications and training.
Person specification:
- (Essential) Accredited MPharm degree, OSPAP qualification or equivalent
- (Essential) Registration with the GPhC
- (Essential) Full driving licence and access to a personal vehicle
- (Desirable) Previous experience within primary care
- (Desirable) CPPE course completion
- (Desirable) Independent Prescriber certification
