A fantastic opportunity to join a tier one contractor delivering a 2-year highways project in Plymouth. My client, an award winning and leading Civil Engineering company with a 6-year pipeline of work in Plymouth, is recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join the delivery team on a £20 million highway project involving utility diversions, cycle paths, road widening etc.
My client is happy to pay accommodation subsistence to employees who live outside daily commuting distance of Plymouth.
As a Senior Site Engineer / Section Engineer you will:
- Produce/review Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Identify/raise/record TQ’s, NCR’s, ITPs and changes to scope of works.
- Manage/Mentor Site Engineers, checking dimension accuracy and quality.
- Communicate weekly programme to site staff.
- Raise permits to work.
Our client requires a Section Engineer with:
- HND/Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or similar.
- Experience of working in a heavy Civil Engineering environment.
- A thorough understanding of construction working methods and procedures.
- Experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor in a similar role.
- Prior experience as a Site/Setting Out Engineer
Salary/Benefits:
- £45,000 to £52,000 per annum
- Company car
- £59 per night accommodation subsistence (depending on your location)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
