Pay Role Assistant (Part Time)

Fixed term contract until September 2025

2-3 days (up to 21 hours) per week– flexible to suit you

FTE £26,269.74 (actual salary will be pro-rata)

This role sits within our People Culture and Transformation Group . Your role will be to Support with the monthly payroll process. Providing high quality customer service to all internal stakeholders and supporting staff engagement by helping to ensure that TCS is paying employees in line with contractual and policy requirements and all related statutory payroll legislation whilst ensuring continuous improvement for the customer experience

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the full end to end in house payroll function. Completing input, calculation key checks and occasionally covering for the Payroll Lead by cut off to ensure team TCS is paid
Supporting compliance with HMRC guidelines, including calculating remuneration packages, complex tax arrangements and ensuring accurate reporting to avoid penalties. Supporting internal and external audit requests and reporting.
Provides support as required to the People Services team, working collaboratively to ensure smooth delivery of HR and payroll services to TCS.

In order to be successful for this role you will:

Have knowledge of statutory and payroll legislation
Have attention to detail with a focus on legislative compliance
Be collaborative approach in providing specialist payroll advice to teams and managers
