Salary:

16yrs – 17yrs: £7.71ph 40 hours per week including time at college.

Over 18yrs: £10.71ph – 42.5 hours per week including time at college.

Over 21yrs: £12.21ph - 42.5 hours per week including time at college.

Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

As a Mears Apprentice you will be paid above the national minimum wage and be paid for your normal working hours plus time to do your college work with the opportunity to get real life experiences such as working in people’s homes, getting involved in community projects and improving people’s lives by being customer focused. The apprenticeship will take around 16 months to complete and result in gaining your NVQ level 2 in customer service.

About the role:

As a Software Development Apprentice, you will be working alongside your mentor and working on real in-house developed solutions that serve the whole of the Mears organisation. The role will be based within our software development department in our Exeter office where you will work alongside the other members of the software team. You'll have the chance to work on real projects, contributing to the development of innovative solutions while gaining invaluable skills in programming languages, software design principles, and development methodologies.

For the Software Development Apprentice role, we are seeking ambitious individuals who possess a keen interest in technology and software development, and a strong desire to learn.

Key Criteria:

  • GCSEs minimum grade 4 in Maths and English.

  • Good Communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel, outlook, Word etc.

  • You must live in the Exeter area and be able to commute to the office
