Job Vacancy: Nursery Practitioner
Location: Newton Abbot
Contract: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience. (£14.45 - £15.20)

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our welcoming team at a well-established nursery in Newton Abbot. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for young children, supporting their early learning and development. You will work as part of a friendly, experienced team to ensure that every child receives the highest quality care and education.

Key Responsibilities of a Nursery Practitioner:

• Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery, ensuring their individual needs are met.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate activities that promote the children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development, helping them build confidence and independence.
• Establish strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of every child at all times.
• Help create a fun and stimulating learning environment that fosters creativity and curiosity.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and contribute to regular progress reviews.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety within the setting.

About You:

• Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
• A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2, 3) is advantageous but not essential. 
• Passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing the best start in life.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and parents.
• A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to support children’s development.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
