We are working with schools across Plymouth seeking full-time SEN Sports Coaches to join their teams. Ideal candidates will have a background in sports and be enthusiastic about supporting PE and Forest School activities. Candidates with a UK driving licence and their own car will be prioritised.
Most of the schools we support work with children aged 2–19 with additional needs, focusing on Autism, ADHD, and SEMH. This is an excellent opportunity for an SEN Sports Coach to make a real difference in a dynamic and rewarding role.
Responsibilities:
- Guide students as an SEN Sports Coach, offering personalised support in physical education and outdoor activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
- Provide leadership in PE, Forest School, and other physical activities, fostering engagement and participation.
- Create a nurturing environment to enhance students' social interactions and communication skills.
- Assist with academic and physical tasks while implementing strategies to address behavioural challenges and promote positive outcomes.
Requirements:
- Effective communication skills for clear and impactful interactions.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle will be prioritised.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Dedication to supporting students' success as an SEN Sports Coach.
