Overview
We are looking for a friendly and dedicated individual to join our team! Working as part of our friendly team you will ensure that high quality food and drinks are prepared and served to customers from a clean and safe environment. As part of our dedicated team, you will provide excellent customer service and assist with various tasks to ensure the smooth running of the café.
Key activities & responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
Prepare and serve high quality food and beverages to a specified recipe and inline with Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Standards
Have excellent knowledge of the cafés menu and be able to operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with accuracy
Ensure accurate cash handling and card payments – any problems should be reported to the Manager
Ensure the completion of daily financial paperwork and that all expenditure is covered by an invoice or receipt
Ensure the café is fully stocked and can meet the menu at all times, notifying the Manager or kitchen staff of any shortages
Clean the café areas, inside and outside and ensure they are safe and hygienic at all times
Conduct opening and closing procedures and ensure all daily checks have been completed
Monitor expenditure, wastage and use-by dates
Stock rotation must be adhered to at all times
Respond promptly and professionally to any customer feedback, comments or complaints inline with business procedures
Any other duties as would be expected of a Café Member
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
