Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menu standards.
Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to create a seamless dining experience for guests.
Develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and kitchen management.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.00-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 45 per week

Additional pay:
