Teaching Assistant for Autism Support in Mainstream Schools
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support primary school students with autism across mainstream schools in Exeter.

- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with autism, helping them engage with the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers to implement personalised support plans that meet each child's needs.
- Assist in developing students' social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Use visual aids, sensory strategies, and structured routines to enhance learning experiences.
- Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to staff and parents as appropriate.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or additional needs, in an educational setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Knowledge of autism support strategies is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special needs are advantageous, though not essential. Training will be provided.

All quoted pay rates are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the potential for a permanent role in some cases.
