You will lead the forward programme of works, ensuring the highway structure assets are properly maintained and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing maintenance strategies and policies for all highway structures
- Leading the forward programme of works to ensure maintenance of highway structure assets
- Overseeing inspections, assessments, and monitoring of structural and bridge assets
- Coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and effective project delivery
- Providing technical guidance and support on structural matters
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation related to structural integrity and maintenance plans
- Managing budgets and resources for maintenance projects
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards
Job Requirements:
- Experience in structural engineering, specifically with highway structures and bridges
- Strong understanding of structural design principles and maintenance strategies
- Proficiency in using relevant structural analysis and design software
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
