Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and a passion for food service. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that each guest receives attentive and friendly service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using a point-of-sale system.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Assist with food preparation as needed in the kitchen while adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary basics is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for processing payments accurately.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour with outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
