Salary: NJC Grade D - £24,702 - £26,421 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed at interview), 42 weeks per year

We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Caretaker to start as soon as possible in the Autumn term of 2024. As part of this role, you will:

carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks as set out in the school’s work schedules to the standards determined by the Headteacher and co-operate with any reasonable request for changes to daily work routines.

oversee the security of the premises and its contents including setting the burglar alarm.

oversee the cleaning team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safe use of products and equipment.

undertake repairs and remedial work.

oversee the work of external contractors as required to ensure compliance with the Trust’s Health & Safety policies.
The successful candidate will be friendly and approachable to our students, parents and staff. The candidate will work under the general direction of the School Business Manager/Headteacher to ensure the school premises meet the defined standards and qualities essential for a hygienic, healthy and safe school and community environment.
The post of Maintenance Caretaker will be working 37.5 hours per week, 42 weeks per year, with specific hours to be discussed during interview.
