More detail about the role As the Reception Team Lead You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of all reception staff and associated functions including the repeat prescribing and the clinical system. A positive can-do attitude and experience leading a team within a busy reception area is essential. The post holder will be required to offer front line support with all patient concerns and complaints, so strong customer service skills will be required with the ability to adapt and respond quickly to situations and contribute towards the smooth running of the Practice.
It is important that the candidate is empathetic towards patients using the Practice and can remain calm under pressure and deal with patient queries whilst answering calls and dealing with GP requests, be assertive and able to multi task and deal with a high volume of patients in reception whilst responding to other demands. Knowledge of medical terminology would also be an advantage. Previous experience of working within a GP Practice or other Healthcare provider would be desirable. You must be organised, self-motivated, forward thinking and able to adapt to the ever-changing demands of the service.
The candidate must be enthusiastic and computer literate, ideally with experience in using EMIS WEB or a similar clinical system. This role is a wide and varied one and can be challenging but also very rewarding.
