Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s learning journey? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Honiton. This part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored support to a child with specific learning needs, helping them to develop confidence and thrive in a nurturing environment.

Your Role as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

• Provide individualised support to ensure the child’s academic and emotional well-being
• Work closely with the class teacher to adapt lesson plans and learning resources
• Encourage focus and engagement by tailoring activities to the child’s needs
• Monitor progress and contribute to their academic and social development
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Experience working with children with additional learning needs
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification)
