This is an opportunity for a high performing HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with a Masters Degree, with proven technical experience and significant management experience to join a well-established and dynamic pathology senior leadership team. This is an exciting time to join Royal Devon as the Trust continues its integration of services across North and East Devon and work with our partners in the Peninsula Pathology Network to provide clinically and financially effective, sustainable pathology services to everyone in the Peninsula. We lead the diagnostics NIHR Exeter Healthtech Research Centre and have a strong commercial service that together offer exciting opportunities not common elsewhere. Both Royal Devon sites have implemented EPIC Beaker and current laboratory equipment includes automated sensitivity testing, maldiTOF, and automated Molecular platforms including ward based molecular Point-Of-Care equipment. The successful candidate will be based at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital but expected to work at the NDDH laboratory at least 1 day a week. Our laboratories are UKAS-accredited, high-performing, and supported by engaging and motivated teams covering Bacteriology, Virology and Molecular services with the post holder expected to provide professional / technical leadership across all specialities within the departments.
