The candidate would need to be able to provide a competent and efficient ward-based service, while supporting other members of the team with the timely verification of SACT for our main and outreach sites. You will be joining our team at an exciting time, as we become further integrated into multidisciplinary developments within the wider cancer SACT service. The Trust implementation of the MyCare (EPIC) system in 2020 has modernised our services, which currently runs parallel with the Chemocare v 6.07 database. However, we are excited to be starting the planning for the Peninsula-wide Beacon Oncology module of EPIC this month. Our prescribing pharmacists are committed to supporting non-medical prescribing (NMP) clinics, and the SACT day-case unit, with all our current pharmacists being qualified prescribers or in training to become a prescriber. Our department is integral to the current cancer services strategy of rapid NMP clinic expansion to meet increasing demand for SACT, and we have pharmacist work stations in our newly integrated haematology/oncology SACT day unit to provide excellent patient focused care.
