OFFICE MANAGER
Role type: Part-time, permanent
Core working hours: 20-25 hours per week (ideally spread across 4-5 weekdays); would suit school hours; flexibility is required for occasional events
Location: Head Office in Dartington (near Totnes)

Set in beautiful grounds and housed in an inspiring, historic building of cultural significance, our head office is a dynamic hub of both creative and operational activity. As Office Manager, it’ll be your role to ensure that everything runs smoothly; to create a comfortable, inspirational, well-organised workspace; to embed and maintain high standards when it comes to delivering and managing a busy office environment; and to ensure that our team have everything they need to thrive.

It'll be your job to add value by:
Creating an inspiring work environment and office culture
- Ensuring all areas – from desk spaces, break-out zones and meeting rooms to our product archive, kitchen and gardens – are always organised, comfortable and well-maintained
- Treating the space with heaps of pride, love and care, as though it were your own home (albeit with lots and lots of gorgeous clothes and a happy, chatty team surrounding you)
- Contributing to creating a happy, motivated work environment by providing thoughtful support for the team’s needs

Setting and maintaining high standards

- Introducing new systems for document management, setting up processes for ordering supplies, or finding ways to make the office environment more enjoyable and productive
Supporting the leadership team
- Being the go-to person for senior leadership team for any administrative support they require
- Booking travel, preparing meeting materials or making tea to ensure the leadership team has the support they need to be successful
Providing administrative support
- Overseeing a variety of administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the office
- Scheduling meetings, handling incoming and outgoing post, overseeing office supplies and maintaining organisation or filing systems
- Managing shared (eg meeting room) calendars, ensuring that appointments and team events are well coordinated
- Preparing for external visitors or larger internal meetings (eg Board/leadership meetings, big planning days) by ensuring rooms are set up, tech equipment is working and refreshments are arranged
- Assisting in organising social activities, team-building moments or wider business events.
