Job Summary
To oversee the accurate collection, input, analysis, and reporting of clinical and financial practice data from and to internal and external sources to support achievement of strategic and financial planning; contractual requirements; and services provided outside of the NHS core contract such as Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), Extended Services, vaccination, and research projects.
Primary Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Contracts and Finance Data Quality Administrator. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as changes in NHS contractual requirements, workload, and staffing levels.
The Contracts and Finance Data Quality Administrator is responsible for:
a. Ensuring a high quality and accurate service in relation to the collection, processing, monitoring, and interpretation/analysis, including comparison to previous years of clinical, financial, and contractual data
b. Overseeing maximum achievement of the QOF by working with the GP QoF lead on monitoring patient call and recall systems, and ensuring accurate data collection and audit
c. Ensuring compliance with contractual data requirements, and reporting where appropriate
d. Ensuring collection and interpretation of data, and submission of monthly financial claims for Extended Services, Public Health Services, and other services provided by the practice to external clients
e. Ensuring collection and interpretation of data relating to other financial claims, such as sickness, GP retainer scheme,
f. Ensuring collection and interpretation of data relating to research projects, and submission where appropriate
g. Ensuring CQC Compliance in relation to the responsibilities of the role, to include maintaining and reporting audit cycles
h. Assisting the GP Clinical Data Lead with other clinical searches, together with the collation and interpretation of data
i. Coordinating the compilation of reports and audits to the GP Clinical Data Lead/Trium (the Executive Team) and the Partnership
j. Developing, implementing, and embedding an effective communication strategy with Partners and staff members in relation to data collection and compliance
k. Ensuring robust keeping of financial and data quality records that are easily accessible by other members of the team
Secondary Responsibilities
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Contracts and Financial Data Quality administrator may be requested to:
a. Attend internal and external meetings as requested
b. Proactively propose data quality improvement projects
c. Ensure templates and protocols are reviewed and updated as necessary
d. Ensure business continuity procedures for their own work are in place
e. Support the team in the use of clinical and financial systems
