More detail about the role: We are looking to recruit 2 Band 6 Occupational therapist/ Physiotherapist to work within the community to ensure that all bed rails and bed grab handles previously issued within the community have up-to-date risk assessments and comply with the latest MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) regulations. The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing the process regarding this work stream (with support from senior colleagues). They will liaise directly with patients, carers and family members to carry out specialist risk assessments and give advice and information on bed rails and bed grab handles. The post holder will also liaise and link with other services such as community rehabilitation teams, community nurses teams and social care colleagues to ensure that bed rails and bed grab handles have up-to-date risk assessments. Applicants will require sound moving and handling skills, good problem solving, prioritisation and excellent communication. Applicants will hold a full drivers licence and have their own means of transport as these roles will involve travelling across Devon.
