The Oncology and Haematology services have been successful in gaining a significant financial investment, increasing the head count by an additional 79 posts across the multi-disciplinary team. This significant investment recognises the increase in activity and provides significant opportunities across the Multi-disciplinary workforce The Acute Oncology Team are looking for a CNS to join this dynamic multidisciplinary team. The team is evolving and developing supported by investment, the team is diverse and consists of CNS, APs, Physicians Associates, Medics and Admin. The team are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, patient focused nurse with recent oncology/haematology/ specialist palliative care experience, to help us maintain the delivery of high-quality care to patients referred to our team. As a CNS you will be required to continually develop the non-medical workforce while ensuring patients are holistically assess providing supportive care to improve their cancer experience and quality of life You will be an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team working across the whole patient pathway. This will incorporate supporting the patient as required throughout their oncological/haematological pathway. You will be expected to work within the team as well as autonomously, prioritising and managing your caseload and time appropriately. The AO service is seven days a week, currently provided by the SACT triages nurses at the weekend, once the team have expanded there will be a requirement to work occasional weekends.
