Situated in the heart of Sidmouth, our pool is a vibrant hub for community wellness, connection, and personal growth. Whether it’s
swimming lessons, aqua aerobics, or using our accessible Pool pod, we strive to ensure everyone can participate. Our pool is
consistently maintained at a comfortable 29.5°C to 30°C, catering to swimmers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes
and families alike.
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Front of House Team Member to join our team at Sidmouth Swimming Pool. If you
thrive on delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for all visitors, this role is perfect for
you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver outstanding customer service in line with LED’s Customer Service Guidelines.
* Provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all members and visitors, showcasing a positive and professional attitude.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of centre activities, facilities, and special offers to confidently address member
inquiries.
* Manage centre usage by organisations and individuals, ensuring smooth operations.
* Assist in setting up the centre for various activities, including moving heavy equipment when necessary.
* Handle administrative tasks, including point of sale/cashing up procedures, bookings, membership sales, and general inquiries.
* Adhere to the LED telephone protocol, ensuring professional and courteous communication.
* Follow the LED Membership Sales Guide to manage all types of inquiries and convert prospects into members.
* Maintain and update necessary systems, such as GymSales, and administer membership documentation, welcome packs, and guest
passes.
* Perform end-of-day cashing up and balance tills accurately.
* Support colleagues in maintaining health and safety and the cleanliness of the centre through regular patrol checks.
What We’re Looking For:
* A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for customer service.
* Practical experience in customer service, preferably in a similar role.
* Experience in cashing up and balancing end-of-day takings.
* Clear communication skills, both oral and written, with a good telephone manner.
* First Aid training (desirable).
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and assisting members efficiently.
