Our small experienced team are looking for multi-skilled builders to join them in developing a large rural site near Cullompton over the next 2 years. We are a small development company that restores and converts high end rural properties and barns in and around Mid Devon. We are currently building 7 timber frame properties and converting 2 stone barns. Working with us there are no quotes, no contracts, no clients, just a friendly working environment, guaranteed hours, payment every week, and plenty of work into the future. The position could be short-term, but long-term would be preferred and there is a genuine opportunity for job progression and salary increases.
You would be working alongside specialist trades and experienced project managers but awareness of site safety and experience of some or all of the following would be required:
Groundworks - including treatment plant installation, digging footings, setting out, laying of drainage and waste pipework/inspection chambers etc
Masonry - setting out to building drawings, laying block courses including damp proof installation.
Basic carpentry skills.
Above all we are looking for someone with common sense who is able to use their own initiative whilst working as part of a team. Someone who is hard working, punctual, tidy, and keen to see a job done well. Pay to be discussed but will be above going rates for the right person.
