Casual Raceday Bar Staff

We are recruiting bar staff to work on a casual basis for our new and exciting 2025 season.

2025 is set to be an exciting year for the racecourse, our customers, and for our team as we launch new raceday themes and events.

We are investing further towards providing a much faster and efficient customer experience and we want people like you to be part of this exciting year!

If you have experience of working behind a busy bar, love working as part of a team, and believe in providing the best experience to every customer you serve, we want to hear from you!

During the 2025 season we have 18 racedays from April to October, as well as some exciting new events coming up. At Newton Abbott Racecourse we are about more than just great horse racing, including live entertainment after racing on our key racedays.

The work involves pouring drinks, restocking fridges, operating EPOS tills and card machines, glass collecting and washing, clearing tables, and clearing spillages.

The hourly rate for people aged 18 upwards for our 2025 season starts from £12.50 per hour, plus the statutory holiday pay allowance.

As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to develop valuable skills, work alongside supportive colleagues, and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment.

We are looking for people who would be available for the majority of our race fixtures.

Please note, the minimum age for this role is 18 years old – and we welcome applications from senior members of the community. Right to work in the UK documentation would be required prior to commencement of employment.
