The Role:

Reporting into the General Management Committee via the Bar Chairman, this is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused and commercially driven individual to lead our bar and events operations. You will be responsible for delivering an outstanding hospitality experience, driving revenue growth, and creating a social hub for our members and guests. The busiest months of the year are April to September operating 7 days, with weekends being key trading times. The winter months are much quieter and present a huge opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Bar Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring high standards of service and a welcoming atmosphere for all.
Event Planning & Delivery: Organise and execute a calendar of events, including match-day hospitality, club socials, private functions, and external bookings.
Sales & Revenue Growth: Develop innovative promotions and strategies to increase bar sales and event bookings, working towards our ambitious revenue targets.
Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with members and visitors, ensuring a friendly and inclusive environment for all ages.
Stock & Cost Control: Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and pricing to maximise profit margins.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a team of bar and event staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
Financial Performance: Work towards a profit-sharing bonus structure, with direct rewards for increasing turnover and gross profit.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Experience in bar management, hospitality, or events coordination.
A natural people person with excellent communication skills.
Strong commercial awareness and a proven track record in driving sales.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.
Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Understanding of stock control, pricing strategies, and financial performance.
A passion for sport and community engagement.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
