Situated in Torquay, with the opportunity to build on the local trade and maximise its potential. We have just had a new kitchen installed and the pub is ripe for adding an amazing food service, which the new manager would be at the heart of introducing.

Reporting directly to the MD the Manager will have full control over all aspects of the business.

As the Manager you will be responsible for stock and cash control, staff recruitment, training and profit and loss accountability. The ability to drive turnover through events and promotions is essential.

In return you will receive a competitive rate of pay plus bonus package.

It is expected that whilst the food operation is established, the Manager will play an active part by cooking 4/5 days a week alongside managing the team and the pub, therefore experience as a chef is essential. Accommodation can be provided if needed

Ideally you will have:

Supervising experience
Previous experience of running a busy pub
Team management skills
Strong leadership abilities
Food safety knowledge
Sales experience
Cooking skills
Relevant experience in food production and kitchen operations
Proven ability to drive sales, manage a team and keep both staff and customers happy
Passionate and knowledgeable about food and drink
