We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Officer to join our Urgent Support Team on a 12 month fixed term contract (or secondment opportunity). In this role, you will ensure that beneficiaries receive the appropriate welfare support and advice, in a person-centred, seamless, and timely manner. Your role will involve understanding individual needs, assessing time-sensitive requirements, and providing direct support, advice, and guidance, working collaboratively with a network of professionals, agencies, and volunteers.

As a Case Officer you will provide direct support, advice, and guidance to beneficiaries with immediate needs, managing individual cases with a person-centred approach to ensure their needs are met efficiently and compassionately. You will take the lead in coordinating casework, ensuring beneficiaries receive the appropriate support through seamless collaboration with both internal teams and external partners.

Your ability to assess the time-sensitive needs of beneficiaries will be crucial as you work with regional specialist teams and external providers, ensuring that support is well-integrated and timely. You will develop creative and tailored solutions to address beneficiary needs leveraging available resources.

A deep understanding of the Royal British Legion's direct services, along with external support options (both statutory and non-statutory), will be essential to your success. You will help shaping future services by better understanding and responding to the evolving needs of the beneficiaries.

The role is primarily homebased with will have occasional travel nationally for internal meetings. Travel costs are covered by us.
