The Role

The Climbing Hangar is looking for a supportive and experienced Duty Manager to join our Exeter Team.

Our Duty Managers are instrumental in supporting our crew to foster the fun, welcoming and inclusive indoor climbing community that The Climbing Hangar is known for. The right person for this role doesn’t need to be climbing hard, we just want someone who is psyched about the idea of inspiring bolder living through indoor climbing!

As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for opening & closing our site, overseeing the daily operations of the centre, and being the initial point of contact for both our staff and customers. You will use your leadership skills to support and mentor a team of crew to deliver next level customer service and provide the highest levels of safety and cleanliness across our site. As well as providing hands on support to our Front of House team and being the designated First Aider and Fire Warden, you will support our site management team behind the scenes to drive success. This can include supporting with, admin; scheduling; coaching development; retail; events management; and staff training & development. Full training provided.

The successful candidate will be experienced in leading a team, psyched about the idea of coaching and confident hosting one to one sessions and classes for both children and adults (full training provided).

This is a fast paced, customer facing role which involves working Front of House across all areas of daily operations (including reception, retail, coaching & cafe) to role model what ‘great’ service looks like; continually assess and improve our service/ product standards; and to foster the fun, inclusive & welcoming culture that TCH is known for.

Our mission is simple – Use climbing to inspire happier, healthier, and more connected lives for everyone. We bring together epic climbing, fresh coffee, a banging café menu, and a fun filled community to cities all over the UK. We are passionate about climbing. Pay: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
