Arborist/ Tree Surgeon

Our client base includes both domestic and commercial clients in the Torbay, Teignbridge, and Exeter areas.

We are currently seeking an ambitious and skilled arborist climber who is eager to advance their career. This role is well-suited for an individual who thrives in a small team environment, possesses a strong understanding of arboriculture, and can safely and competently perform climbing and/or groundsman operations. Professionalism and a commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality are of utmost importance.

Responsibilities:

- Pruning trees to ensure their health and visual appeal in accordance with British standard B3998.

- Demonstrating climbing proficiency to access work areas.

- Undertaking ground-based chainsaw work, including clearing cut materials, operating the chipper,.

- Maintaining site health and safety protocols.

- Demonstrated strong work ethic and positive attitude, as you will be an integral part of a small team.

- Sound knowledge and adherence to health and safety regulations.

- Ideally, possess the following NPTC certificates: City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-cutting (201-CS30), City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Felling Small Trees up to 380mm (202-CS31), 002109 - City & Guilds NPTC Level 3 Award in Aerial Tree Rigging.

Additional Requirements:

- Valid full driving license.

- NPTC Level 2 certification in the safe use of a manually fed woodchipper.

- First Aid + F certification is preferred.

Experience:

- While we highly value previous experience, we are open to candidates with varying levels of experience, provided they demonstrate the right approach, attitude, and potential fit within our team.

A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £12-£14 per hour DOE
