We currently have an opportunity for a Tariff and Commercial Accountant to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 – £50,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
 
About the role:
In this role you will be focussed on delivering clear and comprehensive revenue information to the business, whilst driving continuous improvement across the team. You will be involved from the initial tariff preparation phase through to revenue recognition, management information, statutory and regulatory reporting and audit support.

What you'll be doing:

    • Preparing the charges and tariffs for your region including detailed analysis and commentary, and published documents.
    • Leading / Assisting (as appropriate to each project) the development of new charges / charge structures / edits to existing charges.
    • Leading contact for external assurance / review on charges for your region
    • Supporting the preparation of forecasting, budgets and ad-hoc analysis or information to support specific projects, initiatives or decision making by management.
    • Maintaining and accurately executing business processes and controls relevant to your region in line with established company policies and procedures.
    • Taking ownership of Annual Performance report in your designated region
    • Supporting response to Ofwat and Industry consultations and queries
    • Supporting market engagement and communication

What we are looking for:

    • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
    • Technically sound knowledge of Management Accounting (accruals/prepayments/journal processing)
    • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, lookup formulas SQL queries)
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the business to build key working relationships
