We currently have an opportunity for a Process Development Analyst to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £29,000 - £31,500 per annum plus excellent benefits.
 
About the role
As part of our Proactive Smart Monitoring Strategy, the role will spearhead and provide targeted focus in early identification of developing risk through the provision of central support and governance for the operational delivery teams within the Waste Water Control Room. Responsible for designing, refining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), processes and technologies that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and individual competencies across the Control Room. 

What you’ll be doing:


    • A.   Process Development and Optimisation
    • Identify gaps in processes and SOPs prevalent for Central Waste Water Operations to strengthen operational efficiency and Control Room performance.
    • Develop user-friendly SOP guides and other engaging materials, including presentations and interactive sessions, for troubleshooting and the competencies required for alarm management and Operational event management.
    • Take ownership of maintenance and periodic review the SOP documentation across the Control Room, updating as necessary through review to ensure reflection any changes to the agreed processes over time.

    • B.   Proactive Network Monitoring & Alarm Management
    • In support of the Smart Monitoring Strategy, aid decision-making and integration of new innovations and developments in technologies and best practice within the function.
    • Review and analyse performance of proactive monitoring initiatives with corporate and third-party systems to facilitate development to become more effective and accurate in preventing spills and pollutions.
    • Provide procedural support, expertise and oversight to the Proactive Alarm Management activities (Standing, High Activity, Fleeting, Communications and Pumps Out Alarms) by working with the key stakeholders and Proactive Control Analysts.

    • C. Driving Governance & Standards
    • Provide expertise to elevate and enhance the suite of data reports to provide a holistic view of management information including alarm volumes, standing alarms, pumps out and communication failures.
    • Driving SharePoint development, engagement and management, with integration with other developmental initiatives across the Control Room.
    • Proactively drive standards and consistency across the Control Room, for alarm & proactive alert triage and management

What we are looking for:

    • Full UK Drivers Licence and ability to travel around the work area using a company vehicle if necessary
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, both verbally and written, to people at all levels of the business including external stakeholders
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office and confident when using computers
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and cope with multiple streams of information and decisions
    • Effective team working and collaborating with others toward a common goal
    • Ability to maintain a high level of commitment to personally getting things done
