We currently have an opportunity for a Proactive Control Analyst to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £29,000 - £31,500 per annum plus excellent benefits.
 
About the role
As our Proactive Control Analyst you will provide targeted focus in early identification of developing risk.You will ensure effective triage and resolution of alarms and contacts received in the SWW Control Centre to significantly improve operational Services such as pollution risk performance.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Providing a central review using a series of data sets to identify risk of site/asset failures or issues
    • Proactive interrogation of appropriate corporate systems to deliver enhanced early interception and resolution of potential pollution indicators
    • Reviewing and analysing proactive network alerting initiatives through corporate and third-party systems to initiate operational interventions to prevent spills and pollutions
    • Liaising directly with Control Room shift teams to triage and raise priority based on risk of alerts interpreted to require Operational response to proactively prevent issues, as well as field service centres and field team members to ensure preventative and proactive actions are being taken for negating risks, such as pollutions
    • Managing all standing alarms by working with the key stakeholders to track alarm escalation, exceptions, and disabled alarms through to completion
    • Reviewing high activity alarm reports to identify nuisance alarms, configuration issues or risk of asset failure
    • Analysing alarm trends and patterns to early identify risk of asset failure or risk of pollution
    • Developing and enhancing the suite of data reports to provide a holistic view of Control Room management information including alarm volumes, standing alarms, pumps out and communication failures

What we are looking for:

    • Full UK Drivers Licence and ability to travel around the work area using a company vehicle if necessary
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, both verbally and written, to people at all levels of the business including external stakeholders
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office and confident when using computers
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and cope with multiple streams of information and decisions
    • Effective team working and collaborating with others toward a common goal
    • Ability to maintain a high level of commitment to personally getting things done
