Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives?We are seeking a dedicated 1-1 Learning Mentor to join our team in Tiverton. If you have a strong background in working with children or young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, challenging behaviour, and trauma, this role is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:• Provide 1-1 support to students, fostering their emotional well-being and personal development.• Help students engage with learning, building their confidence and motivation.• Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.• Implement strategies to help manage challenging behaviour.• Monitor and track the progress of the student, adjusting interventions as necessary.
Requirements:• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, trauma, or challenging behaviour is preferred.• A calm, resilient, and adaptable nature to handle complex situations.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• A valid driving licence is essential, as the role may involve travel to different locations.• A proactive and compassionate approach, focused on the individual needs of the child.
