On behalf of our client, we are hiring a Senior Planning Engineer.
Due to their continued success and growth of the business unit, we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading Civil Engineering contractor working on a variety of projects across the South West.
The role will be to develop, manage, and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 and other relevant planning tools.
Duties;
- Proactively drive the progress of work on site.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.
- Monitor project progress and report on critical paths, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide detailed reports to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Support the development of resource and cost-loaded programmes, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Conduct regular reviews of progress against baseline programmes and propose corrective actions as necessary.
Person Specification
- Experience delivering a planning role for a portfolio of both tender / pre-construction and build stage projects.
- Proven experience in planning on major infrastructure projects.
- Tier 1 contract experience.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other relevant software.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering solutions.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
