Key in this role is the requirement to: • Work as a professional, upholding the standards of best practice at all times • Work in a responsible and safe manner as a key member of the team • Support the development and implementation of the Environmental Management System to comply with legal environmental requirements and company standards • Support the management of site environmental permits • Support communications with regulatory authorities and key external stakeholders • Ensure the site is being maintained to all appropriate legal environmental and planning requirements • Support the internal audit process, report key findings and drive remedial actions • Support relevant environmental sampling and test work programs to a high and consistent standard • Support environmental programs/schemes and manage project outcomes • Develop processes and procedures to deliver the objective of the Environmental Management System • Support applications for future environmental permits and permissions • Manage the investigation and reporting of environmental incidents • Analyse and interpret environmental data and provide written reports as required • Liaising with the broader team and other relevant departments as required • Developing and managing a dedicated database of relevant environmental performance data • Assisting the team with other relevant work as required We are seeking candidates eligible to work in the UK, with a relevant degree or qualifications and a UK (or equivalent) car driving licence. The successful candidate will be happy working in a dynamic, hardworking environment and integrating with and assisting the broader project team. Candidates should be computer literate, physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weather, have an awareness of environmental legislation and previous experience of implementing an ISO14001 Environmental Management System and working in heavy industry is highly desirable
