Driver Hire (Torbay) is recruiting delivery drivers for a temp-to-perm position with our client near Newton Abbot. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a team that values professionalism and customer service.
What's On Offer
- Hourly Rate: £11.50
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Holiday: 28 days (including bank holidays), plus an extra day for each year after 5 years of service (up to 33 days total).
- Pension: 5% employee and 3% employer contributions.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled collection and delivery of customer vehicles.
- Handle paperwork with customers professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure safe, timely, and professional delivery of all vehicles.
- Complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth vehicle transfers.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and suggest improvements.
- Support day-to-day operations within the delivery team.
- Drive vehicles safely, reporting faults and completing vehicle condition reports.
- Ensure all documentation is correct when transferring vehicles.
- Report any accidents or incidents to the manager immediately.
What You'll Need:
- Licence: Valid driver's licence.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a delivery driver role.
- Skills: Excellent communication, customer service skills, and ability to multitask.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle safety and handling.
In this role, you'll work closely with the sales and admin teams and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
